We’ll come to you.
Outreach To Daycares
Because we believe that the foundation for a successful future is exposure to literacy, storytelling, and books at a very early age, the Children’s department offers outreach services to daycare centers located in Middletown. Dependent upon staff scheduling, we can visit your location up to four times a year to promote books, reading and libraries – or we can present a storytime based on a unit or lesson that you are studying in class. Call the Children’s Department today to schedule a visit for your school at 401-846-1573.
Outreach To Elementary Schools
We want to visit you! The Middletown Public Library is dedicated to working with our town’s schools to promote books, reading, literacy, and libraries. We work in tandem to support our students and make sure they have the academic resources they need to succeed. We’d love to come talk to teachers about our resources, what we can request for their classes, or present a storytime for a unit or lesson plan. Schools must be located in Middletown. Call the Children’s Department today to schedule a visit for your school at 401-846-1573.
Bring your class or group and see what the library has to offer! The Children’s department will schedule a tour for your group or class and work with you to customize your visit. We can do a storytime, library scavenger hunt, teach you how to use the computer catalog or give you a tour of our entire building or just the Children’s Department. Call the Children’s Department at 401-846-1573 to schedule a tour.
